I seem to have a lot of Ukrainian viewers of late- more than Americans. This does my heart good as my mother was a proud Ukranian and supported fully my quixotic quest to be a painter. I have eaten a lot of stuffed cabbage and pierogis in my life.
Very little credit is given to painting from the East- some of of it done under the most extreme conditions. Here is one Ukrainian woman who beat the odds to produce exquiste work.
